The leading Indian two-wheeler manufacturer- Hero MotoCorp Ltd (HMCL) has some big plans for this festive season. The company is bringing two new scooters- Maestro Edge and Duet on offer for the buyers seeking to buy a new and advanced ride. On the other hand, its upcoming entry-level-performance motorcycle- HX250R has been spotted in India, which hints that the bike could be launched soon in the market.

Hero HX250R was showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, where it grabbed much attention from the media as well as the other viewers. The bike has proper supersport styling like a litre-class machine, but with more comfortable ergonomics.

Powering the motorcycle is a new 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor, which makes a maximum power of 31bhp and 26Nm of peak torque. The DOHC motor is fed by a fuel injection system, resulting in best-in-class performance figures.

Along with an aerodynamic styling, the upcoming Hero HX250R has lightweight alloy wheels with Pirelli Sport Demon tyres, enhancing the performance. The bike features fully digital console, transparent windscreen, split pattern headlights, LED tail lamp, clip-on handlebars, split seat, dual disc brakes, linked-type rear mono shock and much more. The company might also offer ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) as an optional feature with the bike.

The Hero HX250R is expected to be priced very competitively around Rs. 1.5 lac and it will compete against the offerings like Honda CBR250R and KTM RC 200.
