Ultraviolette X47 Original Without Radar: Detailed Explainer
It’s the entry point to the X47 range
The Ultraviolette X47 Crossover is a Bengaluru-made, ADV-styled electric motorcycle, sold across multiple variants. We’re covering the most-affordable variant – the Original without Radar; this base variant costs Rs 2,49,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). That is Rs 15,000 less than the Original, the mid variant for the same bike. That gap comes from one missing system, and here's exactly what it costs you and what this version misses out on:
Design & Styling
Ultraviolette has kept the design very identical for the base variant to the rest of the range. It gets the same beaked front fender, tall windscreen and ADV stance, and all-LED lights are standard. It gets 17-inch alloy wheels and MRF Revz-AT03 tyres. You still get to pick from all 3 colours on offer: Laser Turbo Red, Shadow Cosmic Black and Airstrike Stellar White.
Features
This is where you’ll get to see the difference. The original without radar trim, as the name suggests, misses out on the radar-based rider assistance system. That said, losing it takes a few things down with it: there's no rear-collision warning, no lane-change assist, no overtake alert, and no blind-spot monitoring. Even the warning lights on the mirrors disappear, since they were built around this system.
The features you get are the 5-inch TFT display, with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and turn-by-turn navigation working exactly as they do on the top variants. All three riding modes carry over as well, along with dual-channel switchable ABS, traction control, hill-hold and Park Assist, which counts for something on a bike that weighs 197kg. Regenerative braking is standard, and you can pay later to unlock a 10-level version, sharper traction control, and a dashcam with a dedicated 5-inch touchscreen module. And you also get the USB charging, hazard switches, and anti-theft alerts.

BREAKING: Ultraviolette X47 Crosover Launched At Rs 2.49 Lakh, India’s First Electric Adventure Bike?Performance & Utility
The Ultraviolette X47 Original Without Radar gets the same motor and battery that you'd find on the Original: a 7.1kWh battery paired with a 27kW (36hp) motor that sends 100Nm to the motor shaft and 550Nm to the rear wheel. That means performance doesn't move either, with a claimed 211km of range, 2.8 seconds for 0-60kmph, 8.2 seconds for 0-100kmph, and a 145kmph top speed (all claimed). Suspension and brakes are shared across the range too, and so is the coverage: a 3-year/30,000km vehicle warranty sits alongside the 3-year/60,000km battery warranty.
BikeDekho Says
All in all, losing radar-based rider assistance to save Rs 15,000 is a fair deal on its own. But there's a more interesting number hiding behind it. The brand also runs a battery subscription plan, and once that's factored in, the starting price for this variant drops to around Rs 1,49,000. At that number, it's no longer just the cheapest X47; it's priced to compete with petrol-powered bikes, while still bringing performance, range and a touchscreen dash that those bikes can't match.
Ultraviolette X47 Crossover User Reviews
Premium build, starts from 2.5 to 4 lakh. Price increase with warranty and range. I chose for few reasons 1) hill control 2) regent breaking 3) aesthetics) Premium build 4) Indian start up 5) very low centre of gravity 6) sticks to road due to heavy weight and traction control. Very comfortable, bit costly but worth it, service is good. They visit home to serve by taking 10 rs per km. Low maintenance, shockers are very good, load of safety features, hill hold , very practical feature, park assist, regent breaks, traction control. Daily ride is minimum 30 km, saves petrol if you ride more, home charging facility. For touring one way 170 km is ok, to charge and return back. Very economical, though initial investment is more, but if you ride heavily you will find it cheap in long run. Warranty for recon plus ( rs 4 lakh) goes to 8 lakh km or 8 years by paying 45000 extra, Without that its 5 year or 5 lakh km.Read More
Awesome power delivery and safety features. Best for city commuting and also medium offroading. Pillion riding is also good. Add on features like tpms and rear and front camera is like a good upgrade. Original variant is enough for a guy with daily ride of 70km per day average. For long touring and if having range anxiety go for recon or recon plus model. I plan my rides properly so i all end up only using at 20 percentage remaining. Best for bad roads and cities and also highways. This bike is a cross over so any rider can choose it for there benefits. It has got switchable traction control as well as abs also. Best range is achieved in the city with regeneration on at level 9.Read More
