TVS Apache RTR 200

The wait is finally over as TVS is all set to launch its much awaited Apache RTR 200 in India tomorrow. This highly anticipated motorcycle will be launched along with one of the best selling commuters of its time, Victor. The latter is making its comeback in the country after being discontinued in 2007. The launch event will take place at Bengaluru, Karnataka. The upcoming Apache was spied several times and later, its details were revealed by TVS which further added fuel to the hot Apache fire.

Apache RTR 200 4V will house a 197.75cc, single-cylinder, air-cum-oil cooled engine that churns out a maximum power of 20.23bhp at 8,500rpm and 18.1Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. The motor will come mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The company teased Apache yesterday, 2 days before the launch, on its official website. The teaser image suggests that the bike will sprint from 0 to 60kmph in 3.9 seconds and will achieve a top speed of 130kmph. The bike will feature a fully digital instrument cluster, LED DRLs, sharp and aggressive body design, LED tail lamps and optional dual-channel ABS.

Victor, on the other hand, will be launched for an entirely different group of people. The suspension setup of the bike will comprise of telescopic forks up front and spring aided shock absorbers at the rear. The motorcycle will come equipped with an optional front disc brake. It is expected to cost around Rs. 45,000 and will give a tough competition to Hero Passion Pro and Bajaj Platina 100 ES.
