TVS has recently launched the new Orbiter V1 variant. It comes at an affordable price tag, and a smaller battery, but doesn't compromise on features. Here are 5 highlights of the new TVS Orbiter V1:
Affordable Pricing
The V1 is a new entry-level variant of the Orbiter, priced at Rs 84,500 (ex-showroom). The e-scooter is also available with battery-as-a-service (BaaS), which makes this scooter even more affordable. With BaaS, the Orbiter V1 is priced at Rs 49,999 (effective ex-showroom). However, if you are opting for BaaS, you’ll need to pay a monthly battery subscription, which starts from Rs 862 for a tenure of 60 months.
The BaaS package includes an extended battery warranty coverage of 3 years or 30,000km.
Quick Charging
The TVS Orbiter V1 gets a smaller battery pack of 1.8kWh. It charges from 0 to 80% in 2 hours 20 minutes approximately. This results in a claimed IDC range of 86km.
5.5-inch Console
The Orbiter V1 has a colour LCD instrument cluster that displays speedometer, battery state of charge, time, and expected range, it also gets Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts, and turn-by-turn navigation.
Riding Aids and Safety Features
The Orbiter V1 gets hill hold assist, cruise control, and parking assist, and ride modes (Eco and City). The Eco mode helps in getting a better range by limiting the top speed to 45kmph, while the City mode offers full performance at the cost of range.
Apart from the riding aids, this scooter has safety alerts for falls, theft, crash, towing, geo-fencing and time-fencing. These alerts are shown on the TVS’ smartphone app.
UnderSeat Storage
At 34 litres, the Orbiter V1 has one of the best underseat storage. You can easily pack two helmets or your daily essentials.

Its suspension gives the great comfort ride. I have riding Orbitor almost 1000Km in one month, its cruise mode is good, because of accelerator sometimes hand suffer a lot but cruise mode make rides really easy specially on highway.
