TVS has reintroduced the Jupiter Grande Edition in India. Priced at Rs 62,346 (ex-showroom Delhi) the new Jupiter gets a fresh look and new features and costs just Rs 2,446 more than its previously discontinued iteration. The Jupiter Grande gets the same bodywork as its previous iteration but gets a new Tech Blue paint scheme. It also gets subtle touches like chrome trim on the front fender and headlamp.
It gets new two-tone badging on the side panels.
The wheels have a machine cut finish. Wheel sizes remain the same 12-inch on both sides.
It gets partially-covered chrome mirrors for a premium feel.
It also gets beige plastic panels and a unique cross-stitched maroon seat.
Like other Jupiter's it gets an external fuel filler cap and a large grab rail.
The Jupiter Grande carries over the LED headlamp from its predecessor.
The semi-digital instrument console has been carried over but gets a silver finished surround now. However the biggest update is the inclusion of Bluetooth connectivity. It pairs with your smartphone and via the TVS Connect app, allows you to access vehicle information on your phone. It aso displays call and text notifications on your instrument console display.
Mechanically, the Jupiter Grande remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by the same 109.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor which delivers 7.99PS and 8.4Nm.
Suspension setup includes telescopic forks and an adjustable monoshock.
Braking is via a front disc and rear drum. The scooter gets Sync Braking Technology which essentially is TVS' name for combined braking tech.
The Jupiter grande competes directly with the Honda Activa 5G Limited Edition DLX which is priced at Rs 57,176 (ex-showroom Delhi).
