The British motorcycle manufacturer – Triumph has officially unveiled the 2016 model of its popular litre-class streetfighter – Speed Triple. The company has introduced the refreshed Speed Triple in two versions namely Speed Triple S and Speed Triple R, out of which the latter is more performance oriented one. One thing that really surprised us is the company’s announcement of new Speed Triple being different from its earlier versions in a whopping 104 ways.

The statement seems to be true as the new machines have arrived with heavy updates. Talking of visuals, the bike receives new seats, restyled headlamps with Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and an updated body design. The engine too gets a lot of tunings with numerous redesigned elements to deliver a 10 percent more torque in low rev range along with a 10 percent more fuel economy. Besides, the new Speed Triple has been also equipped with a new exhaust setup, ride-by-wire throttle bodies and a slipper clutch.

The 2016 Triumph Speed Triple has also been blessed with five riding modes namely Road, Rain, Track, Sport and a Rider configurable one. The Speed Triple R has been equipped with Ohlins suspension and carbon fiber body panels, along with the red-coloured radiator covers that makes it distinct from the other model – Speed Triple S. The 2016 models could be launched in early 2016 and will compete with other leading litre-class street fighting players such as KTM 1290 Super Duke R and BMW S1000RR. Stay tuned to get more updates.
