Further strengthening its strong fleet in the commuter segment, Hero MotoCorp launched its first fully in-house developed motorcycle, the Splendor iSmart 110. The company is already selling a 100cc version of the bike, which is quite popular in the market due to its i3S technology. However, the new and more powerful model comes with a few more interesting and advanced features, making it a bit different from other commuter motorcycles. So, here we are with the top 5 key features of the newly-launched bike that has been priced at Rs 53,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

5. Stylish Digital/Analog Console:

The new Hero Splendor iSmart 110 comes with a stylish digital/analog instrument cluster which comprises of an analog speedometer and fuel gauge, while a digital LCD screen has been provided for the odometer, trip meter and service reminder indicator. The console also features a side stand indicator but the coolest thing in it is the blue backlight.

4. Comfort:

3. New TOD (Torque On Demand) engine:

Hero Splendor iSmart 110 Engine

Powering the new Hero Splendor iSmart 110 is an all-new 109.15cc TOD (Torque on Demand) engine which delivers 9Nm at just 5,500rpm. It makes the bike capable of doing a sprint from 0-60kmph in just 7.45 seconds. With low friction and optimised combustion, the first BS-IV compliant motor in this segment produces a best-in-class maximum power of 9.4PS at 7,500rpm, giving it unmatchable performance.

2. i3S (integrated start-stop system)

The patented i3S technology already comes with the 100cc version of the iSmart and it works similarly in the new 110cc model as well. The system shuts down the engine while the bike is stationary for around 10 seconds on a traffic signal or some other condition and you just have to pull the clutch to restart the engine. The technology helps in saving fuel on idle running, increasing the fuel efficiency of the bike, and it is a switchable feature that can be turned off when you want it to be.

1. AHO (Automatic Headlamp On)

The company has introduced a first-in-class feature in the new Splendor iSmart 110, which is the AHO (Automatic Headlamp On). It is a useful safety feature that comes with some high-end vehicles and Hero is the first to introduce it in the commuter segment.

Besides all these fantastic features, the new Hero Splendor iSmart 110 gets a new, lighter frame for better performance and stability along with a decent appearance with flowing design, interesting graphics, split grab rail and pinstriped alloy wheels. The bike has been made available in 4 attractive dual tone colour options, Blue & Black, Red & Black, Silver & Black and Sports Red. If we talk about the competition, it is going to challenge the likes of the Honda Livo, TVS Victor, and the Yamaha Saluto RX.
