The commuter motorcycle segment enjoys most of the sales in the country, and some of the bikes have remained eternal favourites thanks to the massive following they enjoy. So here's the list of bikes that have ruled the December 2021 sales chart.
The Hero Splendor has yet again secured the first position on the sales chart. In fact the month-on-month sales of the commuter motorcycle has gone up by 17.80 percent.
Following the Hero Splendor is its sibling, the Hero HF Deluxe. The commuter bike has secured the second rank by overtaking the Honda CB Shine on the sales chart. Even here the case is the same as the monthly sale of the commuter bike has increased by 9.1 percent. In related news, the brand has recently started accepting bookings for the second batch of the XPulse 200 4V. Customers can book the entry-level ADV by paying a token amount of Rs 10,000.

The Honda CB Shine has witnessed a decline in its monthly sales by a considerable margin of 18.60 percent, and as a result, the commuter bike has gone down to the third position on the sales chart. Recently, the 125cc motorcycle has achieved the significant milestone of hitting the one crore sales mark.
The Bajaj Pulsar range and Platina have retained their fourth and fifth positions respectively. The former has witnessed growth of 4.93 percent in its monthly sales while sales of the latter has gone down by a significant margin of 26.12 percent over November 2021. In related news, the brand has recently filed a trademark for the name 'Twinner'. This upcoming bike could be Bajaj's first twin-cylinder motorcycle and it's expected to be based on the KTM's upcoming 490 engine. While there's not much info, here are three possibilities of what Bajaj's upcoming twin-cylinder motorcycle could be.

- City ride with Hf deluxeI chose the HF Deluxe because it is known for reliability, low maintenance cost, and excellent fuel efficiency, which suits daily commuting needs. Being a product from Hero MotoCorp, it also gives confidence in terms of service network and resale value. The ride so far has been quite smooth and comfortable for city use. The seat is well cushioned and the suspension handles rough roads decently. Mileage is a strong point easily giving around 65 to 70 km per litre which makes it very economical. The bike is lightweight so handling is easy especially in traffic, However speed and power are limited it is not built for aggressive riding On highways it performs okay at moderate speeds 50 to 70 km per hour but feels slightly underpowered if you try to push beyond that. Yes I would definitely recommend this bike to anyone looking for a budget friendly low maintenance daily commuter especially for city rides rather than long highway touring and for office use daily updowRead More6 8
