The Simple Wave will launch tomorrow, on September 2, and will be the brand’s first family-oriented electric scooter. Here is everything you need to know before its launch.
Design
The scooter gets a conventional and curvy design that looks practical for everyday use. The scooter should feel comfortable and easy to ride. Adding to convenience is its decently sized floorboard, and a spacious seat.
Features
The e-scooter gets a TFT console and is expected to get features such as Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alerts. It gets an integrated kill/start button, and the left switch gear set includes a navigation joystick for the display.
Underpinnings
The scooter gets a telescopic fork, and the rear is taken care of by a side-mounted shock. Braking duties are taken care of by a disc brake at the front, and the rear gets a drum brake.
Battery, Motor And Range
The brand hasn't revealed the details yet, but we expect the scooter to get a 3.7 kWh battery with an IDC range of 180 km.
Rivals And Pricing
The simple wave is expected to be priced around Rs 1.3 Lakh (ex-showroom) and will rival the recently launched Ather Konarc and electric scooters, such as Ather Rizta, Bajaj Chetak, Vida VX2, TVS Orbiter.
