Royal Enfield plans to double its annual sales by 2013

Royal Enfield a part of Eicher Motors is now working immensely on its plans of taking its annual sales to the mark of 1 lakh units which is almost double compare to current annual sales figure. Royal Enfield sales its bikes in 29 countries. Though the company has only 10 retail outlets. "There is huge untapped potential for us to grow even in the Indian market and we are definitely looking at increasing our penetration", said Shaji Koshy, divisional general manager for sales and marketing of Royal Enfield. He was talking at the launch ceremony of the two new bikes of Royal Enfield, one is Classic 350 and another is Classic 500. To double its sales figures the company is planning to increase its business to the reasons like Middle East, Latin America and Africa. The company is expected to sale 50,000 Units by the end of this year compare to the 43298 units for the same period of last year.
