Royal Enfield has been working on a bigger Bullet with a 650cc, twin-cylinder engine for quite some time. In the latest development, the manufacturer has filed a trademark for the name “Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin”.
The trademark application was applied on July 26 and the status of the application is listed as ‘Formalities Chk Pass’, which means the Indian Trademark Registry has authenticated and passed the trademark application documents. Previously, the manufacturer also trademarked the name of the “Royal Enfield Classic 650 Twin”.
More About the Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin
The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin was spotted testing a few times in India and abroad. Recently, it was also spied testing with the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 in India.
The Bullet 650 looks quite similar to its smaller sibling, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350. It gets a similar headlight, metal headlight cowl, signature tiger eyes pilot lights, rear-view mirrors, fuel tank shape, a single-piece seat and side panels. The easy-to-reach handlebar and mid-set footpegs give the rider a comfortable and upright riding posture. The bike gets chrome-finished twin peashooter exhausts.
The Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin is likely to be equipped with the same 648cc air-/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine from the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. On the 650cc cruiser, the engine makes a peak output of 47PS at 7250rpm and 52.3Nm at 5650rpm, paired with a 6-speed transmission. But may be tuned differently on the Bullet 650 to suit the roadster’s nature and characteristics.
We expect the Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Twin to launch at the Royal Enfield Motoverse motorcycle festival, which will be held between November 22 to November 24, 2024, at Goa. It is likely to be priced somewhere around Rs 3 lakh mark (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will compete with the upcoming BSA Gold Star.
