MV Agusta Dragster 800 RC (Reparto Corse) Introduced

Based on the RR version of the bike, the new MV Agusta Dragster 800 RC gets exclusive Reparto Corse team's WSBK race replica paint job.

With just a week remaining for the 2016 EICMA, MV Agusta has unveiled the bike it is going to showcase at the show in Milan, Italy. The upcoming motorcycle is another exclusive version which is going to join the company's limited Reparto Corse range but this time it is not a track-focused machine. Yes, the company has given the Reparto Corse treatment to its brutal roadster, the Dragster 800 RR, and the result is really amazing. 

The new MV Agusta Dragster 800 RC, with its pedigree, inevitably transforms a strip of asphalt into a racetrack. Apart from the special Reparto Corse livery and alloy wheels from the F4 RC, the bike remains mechanically identical to the Dragster RR and retains the same inline-three engine. The high revving motor delivers 140PS of power at 13,100 rpm and the iconic three element silencer provides a raw exhaust note. Weighing jus 52kg, the engine gets a racing-derived counter-rotating crankshaft to reduce inertia, providing more confidence while entering a corner.

An example of the true craftsmanship, the MV Agusta Dragster 800 RC gets many carbon fibre components, which further makes it lighter and more agile. The steel trellis frame of the bike gets top-spec inverted Marzocchi forks at the front with fully-adjustable features. Complete adjustability is also available on the Sachs rear suspension mated to a single-sided swing arm. The eye-catching Pirelli Diablo Rosso II 200/50 also looks impressive at the rear, while providing an outstanding grip on the tarmac.

The outstanding electronic package of the Dragster RC incorporates second-generation MVICS (Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System) electronics platform, controlling four riding configurations, eight-level traction control, ABS, Quickshifter EAS 2.0 ( for both up- and down-shifting), and a very comprehensive LCD dashboard. Maintaining the exclusivity of the product, the company has decided to produce just 350 units of the bike, out of which a few units might be allocated to the Indian market, like the F3 800 RC.
