KTM Pro-XP: Avinash’s Ladakh Ride— A Small Fall But A Big Comeback

Avinash, an ITprofessional from Bangalore, recently went on the KTM Pro-XP Great Ladakh Adventure Tour, and for him, it was nothing short of a dream for him on his new 2025 KTM 390 Adventure . He says the whole experience felt surreal and he enjoyed every single bit of it.
The Best 11 Days!
When asked about his best moment from the tour, he says he honestly can’t pick one. Every day was full of new surprises, beautiful views, and amazing roads. For him, the entire journey was the best part. He also really appreciated how KTM took care of everything. From the very first day, they told the riders what to eat, how much water to drink, how to ride safely, and what to avoid. They even kept track of the riders' fitness to make sure everyone was fit for the high-altitude ride.

Avinash has been part of many KTM Pro-XP events before, and he says one of the best things is the people you meet. He’s made so many friends through these rides, and now that the tour is over, he already misses them. Earlier, Avinash owned a KTM 250 Adventure and had already ridden it for 27,000 km. He was enjoying not only the KTM bike but also the orange community and camaraderie of the KTM brotherhood that he upgraded to the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure, on which he embarked on this Ladakh tour. He also adds how it was not just an upgrade in engine capacity and power, but also many useful electronics like switchable traction control, off-road ABS, and the feature he liked the most—cruise control. Having these features on his new bike helped him sail smoothly on highways and also overcome some difficult obstacles while off-roading in Ladakh. “The bike is really amazing and flows everywhere like a hot knife through butter,” he says.
Nothing Can Stop me, I am all the way up
During this tour, Avinash encountered an unfortunate incident where he slipped on the bike. But KTM’s support team was super quick— the medical personnel were there to assist him in just a minute and check if he was okay. The mechanical team took care of his 390 Adventure and got it running again within a few minutes. To overcome this incident, he just needed a break of 1 day and from the next day he was on the road again to continue the Ladakh tour.

- Ready to Adventure.I also have a Duke, Adv has covered all the issues which I have faced on Duke when I use to go on long rides, Ride is also plush coupled with a great engine which proves itself on all grounds. Also it has a decent fuel efficiency considering its engine performance. Bike's comfortable its mileage is also good I get a decent range, but the engine won't feel as raw as BS4 duke, great electronics and safety. Just having engine oil consumption on higher side. Also the Trampler tyres give more life than Turanzas which came initially. Long hauling person should definitely buy this bike, long rides are so hassle free.
