Select products from the company attract benefits of Rs 12,000

Last month, the Gujarat government announced the ‘Gujarat Electric Vehicle Policy 2021’ in a bid to boost EV adoption. Now, Joy e-bikes has announced that four of its products-- Gen Next, Wolf, Glob and the Monster -- are eligible for a subsidy of Rs 12,000 on the ex-showroom price. However, the subsidy is applicable only for students from class IX up to college. Here’s what the pricing looks like:

Model

Standard Price

Subsidised Price

Gen Next

Rs 71,500

Rs 59,500

Wolf

Rs 75,000

Rs 63,000

Glob

Rs 72,500

Rs 60,500

Monster

Rs 1,06,000

Rs 94,000

  (ex-showroom Ahmedabad)

While the subsidised prices seem alluring, customers are required to pay the standard price at the time of purchase. The subsidy benefit of Rs 12,000 shall then be paid to the customer by the government in the next couple of months. Nevertheless, this move has made electric two-wheelers more affordable for the young and new riders. Last month, Revolt Motors too announced its massive price drop for RV400 for its customers in Gujarat.
