CFMoto plans on launching one new model every quarter after BS6 regulations kick in

CFMoto plans on launching one new model every quarter after BS6 regulations kick in

  • CFMoto’s BS6-compliant bikes will be available from April 1.
  • The new 300cc, 400cc, 650cc and 700cc bikes will be launched post BS6 regulations.
  • There are even CFMoto electric bicycles heading your way in the near future.

Our recent chat with the CEO of CFMoto India turned out to be quite interesting as it uncovered some exciting new details about its upcoming motorcycles. To cut to the chase, the Chinese company has plans of launching new 300cc, 400cc, 650cc and 700cc bikes after the BS6 regulations kick in. These bikes will be introduced in a phased manner; that’s one new model every quarter post April 2020.

To begin with, the brand will replace its existing lineup with BS6 models by 1 April 2020. Post this, it will introduce the much-awaited 300 SR faired motorcycle by the end of 2020. With that out of the way, we expect the brand to jump a segment above and launch the 400NK and 400GT in India. As for the larger motorcycles, we suspect the 700 CL-X range to be offered in India as well since it was unveiled at EICMA this year.

It doesn’t end there, though. The two-wheeler manufacturer has been working on its very own electric bike that’s based on the 300NK. What’s more, it will make it to India as well. It will be joined by a range of electric bicycles that are currently under development.

Moreover, future models will receive 50 per cent localisation compared to the current crop of motorcycles which are offered as CKD units. This includes manufacturing consumables like clutch cables, brake components, tyres and wiring harness and then move onto the rest of the bike excluding the engine and the chassis. The result would be cheaper spare parts and even more competitive pricing despite BS6 regulations. A win-win we’d say!

Insane Design and Machine.

Stunning bike. Highly recommended. Cfmoto and KTM together have made this insane machine. Fascinating. LED display. Brand new designed rims. Underbelly exhaust. Air gaps for the tail section, for better aerodynamics. Amazingly bright headlights.Read More
