Like every other manufacturer, Hero’s been updating its portfolio to comply with BS6 emission norms. One of the bikes that recently made the cut is the Super Splendor which gets mechanical and cosmetic updates. Here’s everything you need to know about the updated Super Splendor.
Gets a new look:
Although small, the BS6 Super Splendor does get cosmetic updates. The bike comes with revised graphics that look more trendy and helps differentiate itself from its BS4 counterpart.
Updated powertrain:
It's powered by a new vertical 124.7 cc fuel-injected single-cylinder engine that makes 10.88PS and 10.6Nm as opposed to the previous 11.28PS and 11Nm. The motor makes use of a 5-speed transmission.
Gets an extra cog:
Granted, the motor’s down on power, but it’s more frugal than before. And that’s possible thanks to a new 5-speed transmission instead of the previous 4-speed unit. In theory, this should help the motor offer an even spread of gears, allowing it to offer better fuel efficiency. That said, we can only be sure once we put the bike through a thorough road test.
More suspension travel:
Updates extend to the Super Splendor’s underpinnings as well. For instance, suspension travel has increased at both ends -- 14 per cent at the front and 9 per cent at the rear. This will offer better ground clearance to tackle our rough Indian roads.

How much does it cost?
You'd think these updates would burn a hole in your pocket, but that isn't the case. Despite the changes, the Super Splendor’s drum brake variant costs just Rs 5,500 more than its BS4 predecessor which retailed at Rs 67,300. Moreover, Hero now offers a disc brake variant for Rs 70,800 (both prices, ex-showroom Delhi).

Bike ka pick up bhi acha hai , aur brakes bhi, Engine oil regularly change, look acha hai. Maintenance cost bho jyda nhi hai ₹1000 ke ander hi sb kch ho jata hai agar koi major issue nhi hai to.
My honest review of hero super splendor is very comfortable bike and bike features, safety, mileage was Great.I Am very happy with this bike,bike maintenance cost are very less,in the segment this bike was greater other than bike like honda,tvs etc.My opinion was purchased and let's go for ride.....
I am driving this bike since 2 year this is very smooth performance and milage is also very good.There is no loud sound also while starting and when the vehicle is running. Overall performance is good. And I love that full black color also.The brakes are also very good and have nice grip also. The service is also very good......
