The leading Indian two wheeler manufacturer- Hero MotoCorp Limited (HMCL) has launched a new version of its popular commuter- Passion Pro TR at an ex-showrrom price of Rs. 53,531 (Mumbai). The bike was first showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo with the other new and upgraded products of the company. It only gets cosmetic changes and safety accessories over the standard model of the outgoing Hero Passion Pro, which makes it compatible for both on/off road riding.
New features of the Hero Passion Pro TR are headlight grill, high mounted front fender with tyre hugger, MRF Mogrip MOTO-D tyres for better grip, cross bar on handlebar, knuckle guards, knee pads on the fuel tank, and engine bash plate. The bike also receives a new, sporty graphic pattern with three new colour options- Electric Blue, Sports Red, Black with Sports Red. Black, 5-spoke alloy wheels and front disc brake are standard with the model.
Propelling the Passion Pro TR is the same 97.2cc, air-cooled engine, which does duty on the standard version. Mated to a 4-speed transmission, the carbureted engine makes 7.7bhp of maximum power along with a top torque of 8.04Nm. There isn't any change in the suspension system of the bike and it continues to employ telescopic front forks and 5-step manually adjustable rear shocks with spring aid. The 130mm drum type braking system does the job on the rear wheel.

2014 Hero Passion Pro TR is the only 100cc on/off road bike offered ever in India, so it is difficult to compare the bike with other offerings in the market. However, it will compete with the likes of premium 100-110cc segment which includes Honda CB Twister and Bajaj Discover 100T.
