Hero HF Deluxe BS6: Variants Explained

Which one is the best fit for you?

Which one is the best fit for you?

In January, the Hero HF Deluxe outsold the hugely popular Splendor, making it one of the most popular motorcycles in India at the moment. It was recently updated to BS6, with the variant list revised. So, how is each one different? And which one is best for you?

Self-Start, Drum Brake, Alloy Wheel - Fi

This is now the most affordable variant in the HF Deluxe lineup. The previous BS4 version was available with a spoke wheel variant but that has been done away with on the BS6 bike. As the name suggests, you get an electric starter, along with drum brakes and alloy wheels at both ends. This being a BS6-compliant engine, it now gets fuel-injection, but misses out on Hero’s i3S stop-start technology. This variant costs Rs 55,925.

Self-Start, Drum Brake, Alloy Wheel - Fi - i3S

Once again, things are fairly self-explanatory here. This variant gives you everything you get in the above version, plus an i3S stop-start system. As a result of this it’s priced at Rs 57,250, making it just about Rs 1,300 more expensive than the base variant. But considering that the i3S system will result in better fuel efficiency, you should be able to recover this cost over time while also being slightly kinder to the environment.

Self-Start, Drum Brake, Alloy Wheel - Fi - All Black

The All Black variant has been carried over from the BS4 bike as well. What it means is a more blacked-out paint scheme with some of the chrome bits and lighter colours making way for darker colours. It isn’t explicitly mentioned whether this version gets i3S or not, but going by the Rs 56,050 price and the trend seen on the BS4 bike, we think it gets the stop-start tech.

Good option for daily uses

It's a good bike for those who use bike on daily basis and it is money saver, gives good mileage in local streets and best average upto 70 kilometers per litre on highway under 70 kilometers per hour speed. If you ride on highway with this bike then it is a best option for the middle class family person and save his money and time after using this bike. All the feature of this bike is satisfactory in compare to a normal bike. Good bike for local riding and maintenance of the bike is too less. I'm using this hf deluxe bike since 2018 and gave me positive response and result is not bad for me and persons who are in my average category person.Read More

City ride with Hf deluxe

I chose the HF Deluxe because it is known for reliability, low maintenance cost, and excellent fuel efficiency, which suits daily commuting needs. Being a product from Hero MotoCorp, it also gives confidence in terms of service network and resale value. The ride so far has been quite smooth and comfortable for city use. The seat is well cushioned and the suspension handles rough roads decently. Mileage is a strong point easily giving around 65 to 70 km per litre which makes it very economical. The bike is lightweight so handling is easy especially in traffic, However speed and power are limited it is not built for aggressive riding On highways it performs okay at moderate speeds 50 to 70 km per hour but feels slightly underpowered if you try to push beyond that. Yes I would definitely recommend this bike to anyone looking for a budget friendly low maintenance daily commuter especially for city rides rather than long highway touring and for office use daily updow Read More

Basic Features

I have been riding my Hero HF Deluxe (2012 Model) for over 13 years now. Even after so much time, the engine is still very reliable and the maintenance cost is extremely low. It is the best bike for daily rough use and still provides great fuel efficiency. Pros:Excellent Mileage: Even after 13 years, it gives amazing mileage on the road. Low Maintenance: Spare parts are cheap and easily available everywhere. Durability: The build quality is very strong; it handles rough roads easily.Engine: Hero's 100cc engine is still smooth and starts in one kick. Cons:Basic Features: It lacks modern features like a digital meter or disc brakes. High Speed: The bike vibrates a bit when crossing 60-70 kmph.Read More
