Hero Glamour X 125: Which Is The Best Variant?
We compare the base spec drum variant against the top disc one on paper

The Hero Glamour X 125 is the newest, most feature-loaded version of Hero’s popular commuter motorcycle. It is offered in two variants: Drum and Disc, priced at Rs 89,999 and Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Delhi). While both share the same platform and engine, there are important differences that set them apart.

What’s Common?
Engine
The Hero Glamour X 125 is powered by a 124.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 11.55PS, 10.5Nm, and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine is counterbalanced to reduce vibrations and it has an idle stop-start system (i3s) for better mileage.

Underpinnings
This Hero Glamour bike gets a diamond frame, tubular swingarm, 30mm telescopic fork, 5-step adjustable twin shocks, 18-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres: 80-section front and 100-section rear. Seat height is 790mm, ground clearance is 170mm, fuel tank capacity is 10 litres, kerb weight is 125.5kg for Drum and 127kg for Disc.

Features
It has a 5-inch full-colour LCD instrument console with smartphone connectivity, phone alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, distance-to-empty, real-time mileage, gear position indicator, automatic brightness adjustment. You also get a USB charging port, small underseat storage box, CBS (combined braking system), and switchgear borrowed from larger Hero bikes like the Karizma XMR 210, XPulse 210, Xtreme 250R.

Hero Glamour X 125 Drum
The Hero Glamour X 125 Drum variant is the more affordable option at Rs 89,999 - gets drum brakes at both ends and weighs 125.5kg kerb. It has an LED headlight, but the tail lamp and indicators are halogen.
Hero Glamour X 125 Disc

The Hero Glamour X 125 Disc is priced at Rs 99,999 and adds a front disc brake, all LED lights, and has a 127kg kerb weight. More importantly, it introduces segment-first features like cruise control, ride-by-wire throttle, and 3 ride modes (Eco, Rain, Power). There’s also ‘panic braking alert’ that flashes all indicators in emergency braking situations.

BikeDekho Says

The Glamour X 125 Drum keeps the price accessible while still offering modern styling, a connected console and a new, more powerful, refined engine. But it is the Disc variant that stands out, thanks to features never before seen in the 125cc commuter bike space.

At a Rs 10,000 premium, the added safety of a front disc along with cruise control, ride modes and all LED lighting makes it the version worth buying for those who want the most feature-rich option. But we feel the Disc variant should've also offered ABS, at least single-channel at the front.

Cons: Some users find the suspension slightly stiff, and it lacks ABS, which is a missed opportunity for safety.
