Exclusive: Bajaj Avenger 220 Street Launched At Rs 1,42,029
The Avenger 220 Street looks identical to the Avenger 160 Street

Bajaj has launched a sleeker variant of the Avenger 220 Cruise aimed for the urban commute, called the Avenger 220 Street. It is priced at Rs 1,42,029 (ex-showroom Pune), which is identical to the 220 Cruise.
At first glance, the Avenger 220 Street looks similar to the Avenger 160 Street, as it too has a circular halogen headlight with an LED DRL, a small cowl (instead of a large flyscreen) up front, a black alloy grab rail instead of a chrome pillion backrest and 17-/15-inch alloys. That said, the Avenger Street 220 has a single-pod digital console, instead of the Street 160’s analogue console, though both get tell-tale lights on the tank.

Of course, the Avenger Street 220 gets the same 220cc air-cooled engine as the Avenger Cruise 220, making an identical 19.03PS and 17.55Nm. Another point of similarity is the 280mm disc up front and 130mm drum at the rear, with single-channel ABS.

The Avenger 220 Street is among the most affordable cruisers in India, undercut only by its smaller 160cc sibling. Besides, cruisers offering similar performance, like the Keeway K-Light 250V, are almost twice as expensive. Other options in a similar price bracket are the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 User Reviews
- Best in the segment for CruisingI chose this bike for the comfort in city as well as long rides. I have driven this bike for more 40K Km and I am happy with this bike. The only concern I have is about the safety as the leg guard is too short compared to the other bike and the as there is a gap from where you rest you feet for shifting gear and braking as it does not cover the feet. The ride is good, it is low maintenance if you take good care of the bike, also long routes are amazing as there is no fatigue. Cons is just about the handling as this a cruiser bike so it is not everyone ride. Definitely this bike is for the people who like comfort low maintanence. If you get a hand on the back seat then the comfort is next level. The mileage is good in the city and if you go for a long ride then you will get a good mileage which can be 40 plus.Read More2 2
- Long Term Ownership ReviewThe bike is super amazing even after owning it over 6 years it is smooth runs clean and has a muscular and aura refining road presence. Just the performance of the bike on uphill feels a bit low. Maintenance is also reasonable and the bike gives 35-40 kmpl average on daily commute. The seat is super comfortable for long touring and it can be used for 200-300 km long trips.Read More2 2
- Good bike but room for improvement is huge.My dad bought this bike for daily commute because of the design and comfort this bike offers. It is a low height bike, which proves easy to ride and is good for long highway rides. Overall the ride is comfortable for rides. The ride is average in my opinion. I have had problems with the tyres. It is 2025 and in my opinion and this bike still comes with tube tyres. Bajaj should upgrade it to have alloy wheels. The engine seems underpowered for a cruiser, and performance wise it is bad. It has less features than other bikes which is a bit shameful for a bike in this age. The pillion comfort is also compromised but the comfort of the driver is very good. It is a comfortable bike for a solo rider, but the unavailability of tubeless tyres for the bike makes it less reliable for long rides. The service centre here at Chandigarh is very poor, but the overall servicing is cheap, around Rs.1000 to1500 for a normal service. I would recommend this bike to people who are looking for a comfortable ride and not for long distances. At times the tyres can be a problem as when they get punctured you will have to carry it, and carrying a bike this heavy is very tough. Overall if Bajaj would update this bike with some features like traction control, tubeless tyres and a better pillion seat, it can be a great choice.Read More5 2
- "Avenger 220 Cruise: Ride in Comfort"The Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise is a comfortable, stylish cruiser built for relaxed long rides and smooth city commutes. Its low-slung seat, wide handlebars, and cushioned ride make it easy on the body, while the 220cc engine delivers a steady, stress-free performance. With decent mileage (35–45 km/l) and a head-turning classic design, it strikes a perfect balance between everyday usability and laid-back touring charm.Read More1
- Avenger street 220I have ridden this bike through rough and challenging terrain, and it has never let me down. The engine is highly reliable, offering smooth performance. It handles well and milage is decent 35 kmpl. the only discomfort is seat that becomes uncomfortable on longer rides. However, this is out waited by the bike's performance and dependability.Read More1 1
