The Bajaj Avenger 160 BS6 has reached some dealerships and as per our sources, deliveries will begin by mid-March. Booking amount for the new Avenger 160 is pegged at around Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000, depending on the dealership. There’s no official word on the prices yet but according to our sources, it is likely to be priced at 89,536, around Rs 7,500 more than before.
In terms of design, it is highly likely to remain the same as the older BS4 model. Yes, there’s not even a single new colour or new decals. The only way to differentiate between the BS4 and the BS6 versions is via the new cat con.
We haven’t received the power and torque details yet but expect the updated 160cc, fuel injected motor to have a slightly different output compared to the BS4 version. For reference, the previous iteration produced 15PS and 13.5Nm. Apart from being greener, we expect the Avenger 160 BS6 to be a bit more efficient than before.
In terms of competition, the Bajaj Avenger 160 BS6 goes up against the Suzuki Intruder, which is also going to be launched in its BS6 avatar soon.
