Esha Gupta, an avid female biker has embarked upon a tour which is going to be the longest journey by a lady on a motorcycle. On the course of her journey, she will cover 17 states in 110 days. Esha began her journey on 26th January from Bangalore. When team BikeDekho inquired about her present location, we got an instant response saying Esha is currently heading towards Coimbatore and has crossed Ooty in Tamil Nadu. She has covered over 930kms till now, covering the cities of Bangalore, Vellore, Chennai, Pondicherry, Yercaud, Salem, Erode and Ooty. Esha is riding a 2013 model Bajaj Avenger DTS-i nicknamed as Mike.

This unique adventure has been organized and promoted by Throttle club, the motorcycling platform with a difference. Though, it just focuses on the individual rider, Throttle club helps in providing every facility and advantage, for riders like Esha Gupta so that they can pursue their grand passion for biking.

Elaborating on the objective behind the journey, Esha said: " By doing a solo ride across my country, I want to send out a message to all those out there who say India is an unsafe country for women: it is definitely not so. Having travelled alone extensively, I negate that line with my full will. That doesn't mean I am challenging the miscreants, it just means that we, as a country, are concentrating so much on the negativity that we have forgotten that we are surrounded majorly by positive and good people. "

She continued, "Biking is a wonderful and rewarding activity, it challenges the human spirit to the utmost and I want to demonstrate how wonderful it is. As for me, my fearlessness is my best contribution to my country, and it is precisely with this approach that I wish to reintroduce my countrymen to our wonderful country with its vast and varied topography and cultures."

Also, present at the flag-off were the founders of Throttle, CEO Srinivas Adimulam and COO Mangesh Deshpande. Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas said: "We are a startup that uses a technology platform to bring bikers together. Biking is all about brotherhood and at Throttle we wish to promote the egalitarian spirit it represents. Be they male or female, each biker deserves a chance to express themselves."

Mangesh mentioned, " Throttle.club is a cool hangout place for every rider. It is an online platform which has clubs, rides, rider profile, chat, bike listing and much more. The platform can be accessed thru www.throttle.club in web form & also on the Android Play store. The Apple IOS & Windows apps are to be launched soon."
