The sixth edition of the hand-built Spitfire range gets a host of personalisation options

Limited to 300 units, all of which have been sold out.  Priced at GBP 9,995 (Rs 9.35 lakh).  Comes with cosmetics, performance and suspension personalisation options.  Gets a 600cc single-cylinder motor that makes 55PS.

The CCM Spitfire range is a series of highly customisable and limited-edition hand-built motorcycles. While CCM has commenced production of the Spitfire Six, the sixth iteration of the exotic naked range, it has already sold off all 300 units of the motorcycles. The Spitfire Six is special as it offers more customisation options than its previous iterations.

Even the base Spitfire Six is quite a looker. It is devoid of bodywork and gets a small fuel tank over the trellis frame. Even the subframe extends just a bit to support the single seat. The 14-litre fuel tank is made of a nylon composite to keep the weight low. It gets a lot of billet aluminium parts that have the option of a black anodised finish. It comes with an LED headlamp and LED tail lamp in the form of a slim strip under the seat. The Spitfire Six also features a digital instrument console.

To begin with, the Kingsport Grey fuel tank gets optional Ox Red Illusion Cherry, Liquid Mercury, Pearl White and British Racing Green with a Roman Gold finished frame. It comes with carbon-fibre chain guards, fenders and engine covers. The single-seat gets an optional quilted leather stitch or an Alcantara finish. Apart from these, you can opt for fully adjustable Ohlins suspension that costs as much as the bike itself. Those looking for something different can opt for CCM’s stealth customisation kits that get stuff like a carbon-fibre headlamp cowl and rear fender.

It gets a 600cc liquid-cooled motor that offers a modest 55.7PS and 58Nm. While the power output is limited, its 139kg dry weight should keep performance exciting. CCM also offers a stage-one remap and twin Austin Racing exhausts that should help unlock more performance.

The Stealth Six gets 19-inch spoke wheels but customers also get the option of forged billet alloy wheels. Braking is via a front 320mm disc with HEL performance callipers and a rear 240mm disc.

The Spitfire range caters to a high-end clientele in the UK looking for a highly personalised motorcycle to suit their individual tastes. The high price tag comes courtesy of its hand-built nature and top-spec parts but more often than not, customers end up paying upto 1.5 times more for the custom options. That’s great business!
