BSA Scrambler India Launch Tomorrow: Here’s What To Expect

Royal Enfield Bear 650 beware! The Scrambler is incoming…

Quick News Highlights:

- Based on the Goldstar 650 platform
- 652cc single-cylinder engine retained
- Scrambler-focused hardware updates

The BSA Scrambler will launch tomorrow on April 23, 2026. It is based on the BSA Goldstar, but gets a more rugged setup with changes to ergonomics, tyres, and suspension, and is available in the UK.  Here’s what you can expect from the upcoming scrambler:

Design

The Scrambler 650 gets a proper scrambler design with a high-mounted front fender, wide handlebar with a brace, fork gaiters, and a slightly taller stance. The round headlight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and minimalist tail section will keep the retro appeal intact, while details like block-pattern tyres, race number plate on the sides and a sump guard will enhance its rugged character.

Engine

It gets the same 652cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as we have seen on the BSA Goldstar, producing 45PS and 55Nm, paired to a 5-speed gearbox with a slip and assist clutch. The motor is tuned for strong low-end and mid-range performance, making it suitable for both city and highway riding.

Suspension & Exhaust

The bike gets a suspension setup that is better suited for rough roads and light off-road use. With more travel and revised tuning, it should offer improved comfort over broken surfaces. The overall setup is expected to handle Indian road conditions more effectively than its road-biased counterpart.

Features

An LCD instrument cluster with essential readouts like speed, trip details, and fuel level is expected to be offered. The bike also gets all-LED lighting. Dual-channel ABS is available and is switchable, which should help while riding off-road. The feature list remains fairly simple, focusing on basics rather than advanced electronics.

Price & Rivals

The expected price is around Rs 3.45 lakh (ex-showroom). Rivals include the Royal Enfield Bear 650, while other alternatives include the Royal Enfield Scram 440 and the Triumph Scrambler 400 X.

This bike capable of performing well off road

BSA B65 Scrambler is one of the best bikes in the 650cc lineup. The robust and strong looks, 19-17 inch spoke wheels and Pirelli tyres make this bike capable of performing well off road. The 650cc power from the engine feels quite strong, and the raised mudguard also enhances its adventure-oriented look. Priced slightly higher than the Goldstar 650, this bike seems to be the perfect choice for those who are more stylistic in their riding game. Can't wait to see how it rides.Read More
