TVS has launched the iQube 2.3kWh variant at Rs 1,16,310 (ex-showroom, Delhi), which is Rs 988 more expensive than before. It replaces the older 2.2 kWh base variant and gets more range, an LCD instrument cluster, and a reduced top speed. Here’s all you need to know.

What’s New?
The scooter gets a larger 2.3 kWh battery pack, which replaces the older 2.2 kWh unit. It gets a max claimed IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) range of 115 km (21 km more than the 2.2kWh variant). The charging time has also increased by 5 minutes, with the new scooter charging from 0-80% in 2 hours 50 minutes using the 950W standard charger. However, the scooter gets a reduced top speed of 68 kmph (7 kmph less than before).
Another change is in the features department, where the new scooter gets a 5-inch LCD console, which replaces the TFT screen earlier. It is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call/SMS alerts, along with features like reverse mode, over-the-air (OTA) software updates, geofencing, and more.
What’s Unchanged?
The scooter is powered by the same 4.4 kW hub-mounted motor with a peak torque output of 140Nm. It also gets similar underpinnings with a telescopic fork, twin shock absorbers and drum brakes at both ends.

The new variant gets more range than before without costing a lot more, which is a welcome addition. However, to keep the cost in check, TVS has reduced the top speed of the scooter by 7 kmph, which would make it less capable, especially out on the highway. The brand has also removed the TFT screen, which we think is a big miss. The iQube 2.3kWh variant rivals the likes of the Bajaj Chetak C3001, Chetak C2501 and the Vida VX2 Go 2.2kWh.

There is only one negative point for me is Its take a little bit more time while charging, this could have been better. If your daily travels is more than 80 km than you should definitely buy Tvs iQube 3.5 kwh variant. Because its battery last more than 110 km range.
