Quick Highlights

  • MY27 Kawasaki Z650RS launched at Rs 7.83 lakh

  • Gets no hardware or feature upgrades

Kawasaki has launched the MY27 Z650RS in India at Rs 7.83 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Z650RS gets neo-retro styling with a round LED headlight, sculpted bodywork, a sleek tail section and a slim fuel tank. It takes its design inspiration from the bigger Z900RS and is available in a single Metallic Ocean Blue colour.

The Z650RS is powered by a 649 cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine producing 68 PS and 64 Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

It gets a semi-digital twin-pod instrument console with an analogue speedometer and tachometer. It also gets an LCD insert showing the fuel gauge, gear position, odometer, and other rider information. The bike gets dual-channel ABS & traction control as safety features.

In terms of underpinnings, it gets a telescopic fork and a monoshock. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with twin-disc brake rotors at the front and a single disc at the rear.

BikeDekho Says

The Z650RS continues to offer a mix of retro styling and modern hardware. It remains the only choice in the segment, and the closest one is the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, which is significantly more affordable.

It's just my review. Due to the high cost of repairs, I have to reduce the rating. However, the performance is good, and the mileage is average.
