Honda SP125: Accessories Explained

Even the costliest accessory for the SP125 costs under Rs 1,000

The Honda SP125 keeps things simple as a sporty, everyday commuter. It’s got a decent set of features and a refined engine, making it ideal for those looking for a fuss-free commuter with a hint of sportiness. Those looking to make it a bit more practical can choose from a neat set of official accessories. These come straight from Honda's own dealer network, so fitting them won't cause any warranty headaches.

All SP125 Accessories

There isn't a huge list here, but Honda covers the basics very well. Here are the prices of all the official accessories for the Honda SP125, inclusive of all taxes:

Accessory

Price

Engine Guard

Rs 968

Body Cover

Black: Rs 471

Silver: Rs 401

Seat Cover

Black: Rs 382

Grey & Black: Rs 371

Tank Cover

Rs 280

Grip Cover

Rs 61

Most of what's here leans functional. The body covers and engine guard protect the bike from the weather and daily wear. Note that the engine guard is black powder coated, so that it looks subtle. We’d advise investing in the engine guard and seat cover to get the basics of protection right. If you want a bit more utility, the tank cover is a good addition as it has a zippered compartment to store your bike’s paperwork.

Being an affordable commuter, Honda has got the pricing of the accessories pretty bang on, as none of them will burn a hole in your pocket. For perspective, the bike costs Rs 89,279 for the base STD variant, and Rs 96,866 for the top-spec DLX variant (both ex-showroom Delhi).

Excellent bike with outstanding milage

I was looking for a 125cc bike, upon reaching finalized to 2 options sp125 and TVS raider. Raider was sportier and done a test drive for both. I previously owned a TVS jupiter, service of TVS was pathetic. Finally concluded to buy sp125. Excellent mileage getting around 79 to 81 mixed driving condition city and highway. Drive around 100 to 150km per day. Only issue I faced is the seat, It's not comfortable. I have driven many scooter's/bike's and it's the worst seat of all. I would definitely recommend this bike if you are looking for a bike with excellent mileage. It's a 125cc bike, if you drive accordingly to that you can squeeze more mileage out of it. If you drive aggressively don't expect mileage. You have to modify the seat or any alternative arrangements to make the drive more comfortable. Read More
