BREAKING: Updated Triumph Daytona 660 Launched In India At Rs 9.99 lakh

Triumph has launched the updated Daytona 660 in India. The new model gets the same set of upgrades that were introduced in international markets earlier this year. While the motorcycle does not get any major engine changes, Triumph has made some important updates to its suspension and tyres. It is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it Rs 11,000 more expensive than the outgoing motorcycle.

What’s New

The biggest update comes to the front suspension. The Daytona 660 continues to use a 41mm Showa USD fork with 110mm of travel, but it is now adjustable for compression and rebound. This should allow riders to fine-tune the suspension setup according to their riding style, weight and road conditions. The rear suspension remains unchanged. It gets a monoshock with preload adjustability and 130 mm of travel. Another important addition is the bi-directional quickshifter, which is now offered as standard. On the previous Daytona 660, it was available as an optional accessory.

Triumph has also replaced the Michelin Power 6 tyres with Metzeler M9RR rubber. The M9RR tyres are focused more towards sporty riding, which should complement the Daytona 660’s character. The motorcycle also gets three new colour options. These include Aluminium Silver and Cosmic Yellow, both featuring glossy Sapphire Black highlights. The third option is Sapphire Black with a glossy finish.

What Remains Unchanged

The Triumph Daytona 660 continues to use the same 660 cc inline-three-cylinder engine. It produces 95 PS and 68 Nm and comes paired with a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle also retains its steel perimeter frame, twin front disc brakes with radial calipers and sporty riding position. The rear suspension setup remains the same as before as well.

Despite the updates, the Daytona 660 remains a relatively compact and approachable middleweight sportsbike, while retaining the distinctive character of Triumph’s three-cylinder engine. The new Daytona 660 is already listed on Triumph India’s website, suggesting that bookings are now open.

The updated Daytona 660 gets a few meaningful upgrades without changing the formula that made the motorcycle appealing in the first place. The adjustable fork, standard quickshifter and sportier Metzeler tyres should make it more capable for enthusiastic riding. At Rs 9.99 lakh, the price increase is quite small compared to the updates, with the new model costing just Rs 11,000 more than the previous version.
