BREAKING: Upcoming Norton 450 cc Roadster Unveiled
Once launched, this roadster will compete with Royal Enfield’s popular Guerrilla 450
Norton Motorcycles has unveiled a new 450 cc urban motorcycle. The upcoming bike will bring Norton’s new design approach and engineering philosophy to a different category, making the brand accessible to a wider audience. While its official name is yet to be announced, this bike will be showcased at EICMA 2026, while its launch is expected to take place next year.
A New Direction For Norton
The new motorcycle follows Norton’s latest design philosophy, which focuses on clean proportions, a strong road presence and attention to detail. It gets a contemporary design approach while retaining the distinctive character associated with the British manufacturer. Norton says the motorcycle has been developed around the idea of combining everyday usability with an engaging riding experience. The brand also aims to bring its traditional emphasis on craftsmanship and engineering into a more accessible motorcycle category. This is part of its larger strategy to introduce Norton to a new generation of riders without compromising on its identity.
Engine And Underpinnings
Powering the Norton 450 Urban is a liquid-cooled, 454 cc single-cylinder engine that produces 45 Nm of torque. The engine has been developed with a focus on responsive and accessible performance, making it suitable for everyday riding conditions. It is built around an aluminium frame, which Norton says will help deliver agile and confidence-inspiring handling. The motorcycle also gets an 8-inch TFT touchscreen, bringing advanced connectivity features and a modern digital interface to the package. More details about its hardware and rider assistance features are expected to be revealed closer to its launch.
Part Of Norton’s Bigger Comeback
The new 450 cc motorcycle is part of Norton’s larger product expansion following the unveiling of four new-generation motorcycles at EICMA 2025, namely the Manx, Manx R, Atlas and Atlas GT. The brand has also started deliveries of the Manx R and Atlas in European markets. Norton is backed by TVS Motor Company’s global engineering capabilities and long-term investment, with development taking place across its facilities in the UK, Italy and India. The company is also expanding its international retail network, which currently covers more than 50 locations across 10 markets.
Launch Timeline
Norton will begin sales of its new 450 cc urban motorcycle in 2027, while its official model name will be announced ahead of launch. The motorcycle will play an important role in the brand’s global expansion and could also be relevant for markets such as India, where Norton is preparing to establish its presence. Once launched, it will compete with bikes like the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450.
