2026 Triumph Speed 400: Features Explained
All-LED lights, dual-channel ABS, and much more

The Triumph Speed 400 has been positioned as one of the most accessible premium motorcycles in Triumph’s lineup. It now comes with a downsized 350cc engine, however the features list remains unchanged, almost. Here is a quick explanation of all the features that the Speed 400 gets:
Convenience Features

The Speed 400 comes equipped with a clean, premium-looking semi-digital instrument console. It features a large analogue speedometer paired with an integrated LCD screen that displays essential information such as fuel level, gear position indicator, trip meters, odometer, and service reminders. The layout is minimal yet functional, staying true to Triumph’s classic design philosophy. In terms of connectivity, the bike keeps things simple and does not offer Bluetooth or navigation, even as an option, which might feel like a miss compared to some rivals. However, it does get a USB-C charging port as standard, making it practical for everyday commutes and longer rides.

The Speed 400 gets all-LED lighting, including a distinctive headlight with integrated DRLs that give it a modern yet retro appeal. The indicators and tail lamp are also LED units, enhancing both visibility and premium feel. The switchgear quality is another highlight, with tactile buttons and a premium finish that adds to the overall riding experience. You also get a ride-by-wire throttle, which ensures smoother throttle response and better control.
Safety Features

On the safety front, the Triumph Speed 400 comes well-equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard, offering confident braking performance across different road conditions. The braking setup includes a large 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc. A key highlight is the inclusion of switchable traction control. This system helps manage rear-wheel slip, especially on loose or wet surfaces, adding an extra layer of safety for newer riders as well as experienced ones. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with wide, road-focused tyres that offer good grip and stability. Unlike some competitors that still use tube-type setups, the Speed 400 benefits from tubeless tyres, making puncture repairs more convenient and practical for daily use.

Overall, the Speed 400 strikes a good balance between modern features and classic simplicity. While it may skip out on flashy connectivity tech, it makes up for it with premium hardware, essential electronic aids, and a solid focus on rider safety and everyday usability. In a related development, Triumph has also launched the all-new Tracker 400 in India.
Triumph Speed 400 User Reviews
- Absolutely love the bike!Looks and Performance. Checked out a few bikes like the Duke 250 and the V-Storm. But this was much more refined and the best-looking one in terms of class. Fell in love with this after the test drive and decided I have to get this one. Feels a bit expensive, but you will forget the price tag once you own it. It's been amazing, especially on the highways. It's like a rocket on the right roads. The bike handles well in the city. It gets a bit too hot for long rides, but overall no issues. Gives a mileage of 32-33 kmpl on highways and around 20-25kmpl in the city. Would absolutely recommend this bike. If you love riding regularly and want a bike that's good for daily commuting and for long rides, I highly recommend this bike. People who are generally 5 feet 8 inches and above would be more comfortable, although I have noticed people who are much shorter handle it quite well.Read More2 3
