- Suzuki has also hiked the prices of the entire Gixxer range in India.
Along with increasing the prices of both the 155cc Gixxers and the Gixxer 250 twins, the Japanese brand has also hiked the price of its cruiser, the Intruder 150 BS6. Here’s a detailed (ex-showroom Delhi) price table comparing it with the launch price:
The price hike is similar to the premium for the Gixxer range. When the Suzuki Intruder BS6 was launched in March, it was around Rs 12,000 dearer than the BS4-compliant version and now the gap has widened even further. It doesn’t seem like a good value-for-money proposition anymore considering no new tangible features have been added to the BS6 iteration apart from a cleaner engine.
To give you a perspective, the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 looks more like a true-blue cruiser and packs a bigger, more powerful engine. Despite that, it undercuts the Intruder by almost Rs 2,000. The Suzuki Intruder BS6 makes 1.2PS and 0.2Nm less than before, at 13.6PS and 13.8Nm. Notable features include an LED DRL, unique styling, fully digital instrument cluster, cushioned pillion backrest, and a single-channel ABS with disc brakes on both ends.
Apart from the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220, the only other rival for the Suzuki Intruder BS6 is the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 which starts from Rs 1,24,338 (ex-showroom Delhi).
