Keeway has launched the RR300 faired bike in India. The bike is priced at Rs 1,99,000 (ex-showroom), making it the cheapest liquid-cooled 300cc faired motorcycle in the country.
The Keeway RR300 is essentially the rebadged Keeway K300R with different graphics. Underneath, it is basically the same bike as the K300 R in every way. The bike gets a full fairing, a short windscreen, clip-on handlebars along with rear-set footpegs for the aggressive riding position. It has ‘RR300’ branding on its side panels that looks quite neat. It is offered in three colour schemes: Red, White and Black.
The bike is still powered by the 292.4cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 27.50PS at 8,750rpm and 25Nm at 7,000rpm. It is still paired to the 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. Keeway claims that the bike can reach a top speed of 139kmph.
Also, all of the underpinnings of the bike have remained the same when compared with the Keeway K300 R. It gets a 37mm inverted fork with 110mm of wheel travel and a monoshock with 46mm travel. It gets a 292mm front and a 220mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS as standard. It rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels with 110-section front and 140-section rear tubeless tyres. It weighs 165kg (kerb), has a seat height of 780mm, ground clearance of 135mm and gets a 12-litre fuel tank. It also gets a digital instrument cluster and all LED lighting as standard.

For an under 2 lakh-rupee price tag the Keeway RR300 carries, it is definitely a very good value-for-money proposition. You get a bike that undercuts many popular bikes like the Yamaha R15 and the KTM RC200. That said, Keeway is still a lesser known brand and its reliability as well as service quality is still unknown. We’re just glad that Keeway realised the error of its ways and has reduced the price of the bike considerably. Rebadging it to a somewhat similar name as TVS’ faired bike should hopefully work for the brand.
