BMW Motorrad has launched the M 1000 R in India at Rs 33,50,000 (ex-showroom). The motorcycle is now available for bookings at authorised BMW dealerships, and deliveries are set to begin from May 2026.
What Makes The M 1000 R Special?

The main highlight of the M 1000 R is its engine. It is powered by a 999cc, liquid-cooled inline- four engine that produces 210PS and 113Nm. The new M 1000 R can sprint from 0 to 100kmph in just 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 280kmph (all claimed).
Design
The M 1000 R features LED headlights, M-styled winglets, and carbon wheels. The bike also gets several carbon fibre components across the bodywork to keep the weight in check and enhance performance. With all these, the motorcycle has a kerb weight of 199kg.The motorcycle is available in three colour options: Light White / M Motorsport, Blackstorm Metallic / M Motorsport, and White Aluminium Metallic Matte.

Features
The BMW M 1000 R gets a 6.5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. The bike has five riding modes – Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, and Race Pro. Other features include dynamic traction control, wheelie control, switchable ABS, launch control, electronic cruise control, heated grips, a rear USB charging socket, and an all-LED lighting setup.
That said, with its aggressive styling and powerful performance, the BMW M 1000 R stands out as one of the most extreme naked motorcycles in India.
