Overview
The BMW M 1000 R has been launched in India at Rs 33,50,000 (ex-showroom). It has a track-bike-like performance and an aggressive styling.
Design
The BMW M 1000 R features an aggressive streetfighter design with several race-inspired elements. At the front, the motorcycle gets dual-pod LED headlights, along with aerodynamic M winglets. It gets a muscular fuel tank, angular side panels and a compact tail section. Other premium elements include carbon fibre components over the body work and carbon wheels.
The M 1000 R is offered in three colour options: Light White / M Motorsport, Blackstorm Metallic / M Motorsport, and White Aluminium Metallic Matte. Both paint schemes feature BMW M branding and graphics.
Features
The BMW M 1000 R comes equipped with dynamic traction control, wheelie control and switchable ABS, launch control. All of these offer a safety net in case something goes wrong.
Convenience FeaturesThe BMW M 1000 R comes equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT instrument console, which displays a speedometer, a tachometer, selected riding mode (Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race and Race Pro), fuel range, lap timer, and trip meters. It also gets Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts. Other convenience features include electronic cruise control, heated grips, USB charging, and an all-LED lighting setup.
