The Street Glide features Harley-Davidson’s signature ‘Batwing’ fairing that wraps around the front, offering wind protection and giving the bike its distinctive face. The fairing houses an LED headlamp with 2 long and horizontal LED DRL strips on either side. The design emphasizes a low-slung profile and clean, sculpted lines. The rear of the bike incorporates large saddlebags and a wide tail section.

The Harley-Davidson Street Glide is powered by a 1,917cc, air-cooled, twin-cylinder, V-twin engine that makes 108.48PS at 5,020rpm and a massive 175Nm at 3,500rpm. The motor is paired to a six-speed gearbox, a belt drive, and a slipper clutch. The Street Glide offers 4 riding modes: Road, Sport, Rain, and Custom.

The Street Glide is built on a steel frame, suspended by a Showa 49mm telescopic fork and preload adjustable rear dual shocks. It has a ground clearance of 140mm. It gets dual 300mm floating discs at the front with 4-piston calipers and a single 300mm disc at the rear. The Street Glide rides on a 19-inch front wheel with a 130-section tyre and an 18-inch rear with a 180-section – both tubeless tyres. One of the highlights is the Street Glide’s low seat height of 715mm, making it relatively accessible despite its massive kerb weight of 368kg and massive 22.7-litre fuel tank.

The Street Glide comes with a 12.3-inch, full-colour TFT console with Harley’s new Skyline OS. The infotainment system includes two 5.25-inch speakers, with support for AM/FM, USB, and Bluetooth. The system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay (wired or wireless), offering smartphone integration for calls, music, and navigation. Voice recognition and text-to-speech support multiple languages, enhancing rider convenience. The bike also features a USB-C charging port located in the inner fairing storage. The Street Glide comes with a long list of electronic rider aids like cornering ABS , electronic cornering combined braking system, cornering traction control, cornering engine brake control, hill hold, and TPMS.

Harley-Davidson Street Glide Competition

The Harley-Davidson Street Glide competes with other heavyweight touring motorcycles such as the Indian Chieftain series, the BMW K1600 GTL, and the Honda Gold Wing. The Street Glide is more expensive than the Indian Chieftain Series which starts at Rs 37.11 lakh, and the BMW K1600 GTL which costs Rs 33.33 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). The premium price tag of the Street Glide is primarily due to it being a CBU (Completely Built Unit) import, combined with Harley’s branding and luxury aspect.
