Indian Chieftain Dark Horse Highlights
15 February 2018: Indian Chieftain Dark Horse, as they call it, a bagger with lots of convenience and comfort features. The premium cruiser comes with a power-adjustable windshield, electronic hard saddlebags, audio system with high-output speakers, LED driving lights and Bluetooth connectivity to connect your smartphone while you are on the move. Other bits include cruise control, keyless ignition and tire pressure monitoring. It also gets the Ride Command System which comes with a big 7-inch touchscreen that displays vehicle info, vehicle status, dual trip meters, real-time clock, audio information, Map/Navigation and offers Bluetooth connectivity. Mechanically, the bike gets power from the Thunder Stroke III 1811cc engine, which is offered with a closed loop fuel injection system that produces 150Nm of peak torque at 2,900rpm. Mated to a 6-speed transmission system, it can yield a fuel economy of 20Kmpl. On the suspension front, it has a conventional telescopic front fork and single shock absorber with air adjust at the rear. It has 4-piston caliper dual 300mm disc at the front and 2-piston caliper single 300mm disc at the rear. It has ABS as standard and comes with a fuel tank capacity of 20.8 litres and a low seat height of 660mm inches. Available in one colour shade, Thunder Black Smoke, the Indian Chieftain Dark Horse is priced at Rs 35.64 Lakh (On road, Delhi).
