New hardware, design tweaks and more expected from Hero’s naked
Hero MotoCorp has sent a Block Your Date invite for June 14, 2023, for a new motorcycle. This will be the new Xtreme 160R that has been spied testing in India a couple of times. The upcoming 2023 Hero Xtreme 160R will come with a bunch of design and hardware changes. While details are scarce at the moment, one of the highlights of this update would be the USD fork that we have already seen on a test mule.

Hero MotoCorp is unlikely to make any major changes to the 163cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. Currently it makes 15.2PS and 14Nm, and we don’t expect any changes in that. It would now be E20 fuel compatible and comply with the BS6 phase 2 emission norms.
The Hero Xtreme 160R is currently priced at Rs 1.19 lakh onwards and we expect the upcoming model to demand Rs 5,000 over this. This bike will continue to battle it out in the super competitive 160cc segment and challenge the dominion of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 and the Pulsar NS160.
