BMW Motorrad Inaugurates India's First Dealership In Mumbai

Former authorised importers, Navnit Motors now become first BMW Motorrad dealer in India

After announcing its entry into India back at the 2016 Auto Expo, BMW Motorrad has finally set up its first dealership. The German motorcycle manufacturer has inaugurated their first showroom in Mumbai. Navnit Motors, headed by dealer principal, Mr Sharad Kachalia has been appointed as the exclusive dealer partner as they have been the authorised importer of BMW motorcycles in India. The showroom is located at the Lotus Trade Centre and the aftersales service workshop is located at Laxmi Industrial Estate in Andheri West. Mr Shivapada Ray has been appointed as the head of BMW Motorrad in India and next in line to get exclusive BMW Motorrad showrooms are cities like Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Pune.

BMW has introduced 11 bikes as Completely Built Units (CBU) which are BMW S 1000 RR, BMW R 1200 RS, BMW R 1200 RT, BMW K 1600 GTL, BMW R 1200 R, BMW S 1000 R, BMW R NineT, BMW R NineT Scrambler, BMW R 1200 GS Adventure, BMW R 1200 GS and BMW S 1000 XR. Though these bikes are a godsend for the Indian biking enthusiasts, the most anticipated bike is still missing from the lineup - G 310 R. It is an entry-level street bike which has been developed specifically for emerging markets like India but is yet to be launched here.
