The BMW S 1000 XR is designed to be a power-packed sporty tourer with comfortable ergonomics. The characteristic asymmetric headlights dominate the beak-like front, with a large windscreen up top. The ergonomics are upright for optimum comfort over long distances. This motorcycle employs a 999cc, in-line 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled heart that’s good for 164.5PS at 11,000rpm, and 114Nm at 9250rpm. The 6-speed transmission with anti-hopping clutch is mechanically controlled. It gets electronic nannies such as ‘Rain’ and ‘Road’ riding modes along with Automatic Stability Control (ASC).
