BMW F 450 GS Concept Showcased At Auto Expo 2025

BMW Motorrad India has showcased the F 450 GS concept at the Auto Expo 2025, and looks like a smaller version of the BMW R 1300 GS. With a typical adventure bike styling, along with raised fenders, upswept Akrapovic exhaust, long travel suspension, and block pattern tyres, the F 450 GS concept seems to be near production ready.
The BMW F 450 GS concept will be powered by an all-new inline twin-cylinder engine that is claimed to produce 48PS of power, impressive for a sub 500cc bike. There is also a rumor that the 450cc engine for the bike will be developed and manufactured by TVS in its Hosur plant. This also opens a new possibility of a 450cc TVS ADV in the near future.
Moreover, BMW Motorrad claims that the bike will have a kerb weight of around 175kg, which is quite light for a 450cc ADV. For your perspective, the Himalayan 450 has a kerb weight of 196kg.
The BMW adventure bike concept gets a 6.5-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity features. It should also get rider aids including a cornering ABS (switchable), traction control, ride modes, and more.
In terms of hardware, the F 450 GS is equipped with a fully adjustable inverted fork and a preload adjustable monoshock, both with long travel to keep you comfortable on bad roads and help conquer challenging terrains. Braking is handled by disc brakes on both ends, with dual-channel ABS, likely to be switchable. The concept ADV comes fitted with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cross-spoke wheels, wrapped with block-pattern tyres, likely to be tubeless.
BMW told us that a production version of the F 450 GS would be revealed sometime in 2025. We expect the German manufacturer to reveal the final production version towards the end of this year, at the EICMA 2025, in Milan Italy. If that happens, then the BMW ADV could be launched in India in 2026.

It has many features, like multiple riding mods and the trophy version has a ERC that means (easy riding clutch) it is very helpful to the beginners. - Excited for the bike to be launchedI am desperately waiting for the bike the headlight looks very interesting. I got chills when I saw the bike's introduction video. the color scheme is perfect. the TFT display makes it look more futuristic. the power output of the bike will be crazy, especially on the trails, I hope the bike has good low-end torque which can help in the trails. although this bike is a big competitor of the Himalayan the BMW F 450 GS will be priced aggressively, at the end of the day it is a BMW.
