The fully faired sportsbike will be available in two variants

  • Called the QJ SRG 600 in China, the bike will likely be sold abroad as the Benelli 600RR.
  • It is based on the naked Benelli TNT 600/QJ SRK 600.
  • Competition comes from Honda CBR650R and Kawasaki Ninja 650.

The new Benellis just keep on coming, and this time it’s a fully-faired sportsbike. Known as the QJ SRG 600 in China, it will most likely be rebadged and sold overseas as the Benelli 600RR since QJ Motor is Benelli’s sister company in China. It’s essentially a faired sportsbike based on the naked QJ SRK 600 or Benelli TNT 600.

This bike first broke cover in patent images late last month and it has now been spotted in what appears to be a dealership parking lot. The images show that the 600RR will most probably be offered in two variants since we can see one bike with a silver upside-down fork and J Juan calipers, and another with a golden upside-down fork and Brembo calipers.

Aside from this, the bike looks pretty much identical to what we saw in the patent images. So it gets a mean-looking full-fairing up front, clip-on handlebars, and rear-set footpegs. Underpinnings are largely shared with the naked TNT 600, including the trellis frame that holds everything together.

The motor is the same as the TNT 600’s, which produced 86.24PS and 54.6Nm in BS4 form. Expect an output in the range of 80-82PS in Euro5/BS6 form. The emissions compliance of the engine means the bike could be launched in India at some point in the future. If it does arrive, we expect it to cost around Rs 6.5 lakh and take on the Kawasaki Ninja 650.
