Bajaj to introduce new Discover 150cc in India

Bajaj Auto India is offering new generation Discover brand, the company will launch a new 150cc motorcycle in India. Bajaj Discover 150cc is to be introduced within the 30-45 days. New bike would be positioned as a entry-level motorcycle sporting a DTS-i engine that offers more efficiency and mileage. According to news report, this will support the company to increase its Discover brand sales from 80,000 units a month to 150,000 units a month over the next one year. Bajaj Auto, CEO (two- wheelers) S Sridhar, said," We will launch a good displacement Discover brand, but I can't give any statement on the engine specification". This bike would be very well accepted in the smaller towns and cities, where customers are more focused towards higher mileage.The Discover 150cc will be priced and positioned below Bajaj Pulsar 150cc and it is expected to be cost around Rs. 50,000. now the customer will have two options as both the bike;new discover & pulsar are carrying 150 cc engine. Besides, Bajaj Auto has already rolled out its Pulsar 135 LS in the market. These Pulsar brands have got good response in the market. Bajaj Auto is clear about their objective, that is to increase demand on wider range with the attractive price for both two brands and take on the competition. The company may come with various offers for the much popular pulsar brand to zoom its premium portfolio. Meanwhile, Indian customers will see more launches like Yamaha SZ, Yamaha YBR R125 and TVS Wego.
