Before few days back, the rumours were coming in the market that Bajaj Auto to re-enter in Scooter market; Bajaj Auto's Chairman Rahul Bajaj has quoted as saying that re-entry. But Rajiv Bajaj, the managing Director of the firm has ruled out the possibility by saying that the company is to focus only at bikes production.

Rahul Bajaj said that the company wants to re-enter in Scooter market with 20 per cent market share by the end of 2011 but now after this commitment junior Bajaj has cleared the things now. Now the company will keep concentrating only at bikes in India.

Right now, Indian scooter market is dominated by Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India with two models, Honda Activa and Honda Dio. The Indian scooter market has seen the growth of 46.57 per cent at 16,97,204 units as against 11,57,902 units in the comparable period last fiscal, as per Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers Association (SIAM) data.

At present, Bajaj Auto has two flagship models in the market such as Bajaj Pulsar and Bajaj Discover. Meanwhile, it is going to re-launch it's previous popular bike named as Bajaj Boxer with 150cc engine and new body design. The bike might be launched by the end of year 2012.

To grab the overseas bike market, the company has tied-up with Kawasaki and KTM. The Kawasaki Ninja 250R is the flagship entry-level model which is being sold by Bajaj Pro-biking showroom.Bajaj and KTM have developed a co-bike named KTM Duke 125cc and the bike will be launched in European market this year while KTM Duke 200 is expected in Indian market very soon. After the launching of Honda CBR 250R, Bajaj Auto has announced a bigger bike, Bajaj Pulsar 250 and it will land on roads by the end of year 2012.

Overall feedback covering looks & performance

Buying expereince was good when I bought it in 2012 from Ahmadabad, bought it full on cash payment. Riding comfort is pretty smooth & consistent-no jerks, Looks is dashing with black colour & green shades on it-quite majestic & manly feeling with mystery touch. Needs very less maintenance or servicing, keep checking mileage every 3-6 months that's it.

Good Bike

I am riding this bike for the last 5 years. It never makes me irritate from its riding experience, service cost, and comfort. Still, I am getting mileage around 70kmpl.

Best Bike For Short Riders.

Good bike for city rides and weekend-long rides within 400km rides. The suspension is nice. It is easy to handle, maintenance is low, the best bike for short riders.
