Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL) has released an official teaser for its upcoming flagship motorcycle- RS200, which says, “Fastest Pulsar Yet. Racing Soon!” The video contains some quick glimpse of the motorcycle along with an imagination of its feel of riding. The company has also launched a dedicated web page for the Pulsar RS200 where you can clearly view its twin projector headlamps, crystal LED taillamps and a silhouette of its aggressive styling along with the teaser video.
The racing sport Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has been styled in a very aggressive manner which will definitely appeal the Indian youth. Front of the bike has a stance like a proper supersport motorcycle, while the rear looks much unique with its interesting taillight. It has all the features needed to make a motorcycle fascinating like a muscular fuel tank, edgy panels, sporty fairing, split-seat, clip-ons and many more.
The new Pulsar RS200 houses the same 199.5cc engine, which also powers the naked sport 200NS version. However, better aerodynamics will help the RS200 to perform faster. Handlebars of the bike have not been lowered much like a track machine (KTM RC Twins and Yamaha R15) to provide a comfortable riding posture. It will make motorcycle capable for long rides and journeys.
The liquid-cooled, 4-valve engine with triple-spark technology gives power output upto 23.2bhp to the Pulsar RS200 and delivers torque upto 18.3Nm. The engine has been mated to a 6-speed, 1-down, 5-up shift gearbox, which is provided with a toe shift lever. It gets the same 37mm front telescopic forks, adjustable Nitrox mono-shock at the rear, 10-spoke alloys, 100/80 section front and 130/70 section rear tubeless tyres, which comes with the 200NS.
As reported earlier that some of the Bajaj dealers have already started bookings of the Pulsar RS200 and it is expected to be launched this month. Now, the latest reports hint that the bike can be launched on 27th March, 2015 and its estimated price is around Rs. 1.35 lakh. The bike will be positioned against the offerings like Hero Karizma ZMR, Honda CBR150R, KTM RC 200 and Yamaha R15.

Needed something dependable for daily city traffic that wouldn't eat up all petrol money. looked at a few other 150cc options but the pulsar 150 just felt like the right balance of price, low maintenance and that classic muscular look that never gets old. Honestly pretty smooth for daily running, engine has nice pickup in lower gears so overtaking in heavy trafffic is easy, getting a solid 45-50 km regularly, only slight downside is minor handle vibes past 85 kmph but for everyday city speeds, its steady and comfortable. Definitely 100 percent recommend it, if you want a reliable everyday bike with decent power and great fuel efficiency, maintenance is super cheap and spare parts are available anywhere. just a solid, no nonsense daily runner that gets the job done.
Best in class performances, easy handling in city traffic, smooth, but rugged at same time, easy on pocket for maintenance, definitely serves the purpose, pickup is perfect, been riding this one since 15 years, yet minimum service cost, after sales response is also impressive, definitely male, title claimed by company feels true when you ride one.
This bike is very good. Jab baat ho Bharat ki sadkon par raj karne ki, toh ek hi naam sabke dimaag me aata hai, Bajaj Pulsar 150! Yeh sirf ek bike nahi, balki har biker ka ek jazbaat hai. Dekhne me stylish, chalane me dumdaar aur mileage me behatreen, Pulsar 150 ne har generation ke dil par apni ek alag jagah banayi hai.
I am riding Pulsar 150 since 2011. The model available at that time was BS3. It's performance and power composition give perfect and balanced ride for daily commuting. It feels comfortable for daily use, gives good mileage and has strong pickup. Handling is stable and confident, especially on highways where it feels smooth and controlled even at higher speeds. Yes, I would recommend this bike. I bought it mainly for daily office travel and occasional weekend rides. It gives me decent mileage and the pickup is good enough for city traffic. On highways it feels stable and confident. The suspension is slightly stiff on rough roads but overall comfort is fine. If someone wants a practical, stylish and reliable bike in this budget, this is a good choice.
