Bajaj Pulsar 200SS has been uncovered during a dealers meet in Turkey, hinting that the company might launch it soon. The company is already selling FI version of the Pulsar 200NS there, which is not available in the Indian market. So, it is possible that the company might launch the faired machine in Turkey first.

The new Bajaj Pulsar 200SS will be the first full faired model from the company and will become the flagship model till the launch of the bigger SS400 or CS400 Pulsars. Based on the platform of 200NS, the bike shares the chassis and power mill with it. The bike gets many supersport features like a flamboyant front fairing with twin headlamps, LED DRLs and a large wind shield, High raised tail with sharp rear panels, front telescopic and rear mono-shock suspension, dual disc brakes with front petal disc, short muffler, light alloys, a masculine fuel tank, split seats and clip-ons.
The 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valve motor will be powered by electronic fuel injection and get the Triple-Spark technology. The advanced engine will be capable to churn out 23bhp of maximum power along with a peak torque of 18.3Nm, which means there is not any change in the power figures of the mill with FI. However, the technology will result in better response, control and economy.
The Bajaj Pulsar 200SS is expected to be launched with a price tag of around Rs. 1.20 – 1.30 lakh and compete with the entry level faired machines like Yamaha R15, Hero Karizma ZMR and KTM RC 200.
