[UPDATE: Bajaj Dominar 250 Launched; Rs 30,000 Cheaper Than Bajaj Dominar 400!]
- The Dominar 250 is powered by the KTM 250 Duke’s 249cc motor.
- This motor is also shared with the Husqvarna Svartpilen and Vitpilen 250.
- The design and underpinnings remain the same as the Dominar 400.
- It gets a box-section swingarm instead of the cast unit on the Dominar 400.

The Bajaj Dominar 250, which is set to be launched in a few days, can currently be booked unofficially for a token amount ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000. Now, we have got our hands on the official price list of the new Dominar 250!
Set to be priced at Rs 1.60 lakh, the Bajaj Dominar 250 will be Rs 30,000 more affordable than it’s bigger sibling, the Dominar 400. This price tag will also make it cheaper than the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 (both, Rs 1.80 lakh) as well as the KTM 250 Duke (Rs 2 lakh). While all four bikes share the same engines, they cater to different needs. So which one should you pick? Find out here.

While the styling and the underpinnings of the new Dominar 250 are the same as its bigger cousin, the Dominar 400, the only difference between the two is the engine. Powering the quarter-litre Dominar is the same 248.8cc single-cylinder motor as seen in the KTM and the Huskies. In the Dominar 250, this unit is likely to make around 30PS and 24Nm, paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
The other major difference between the two Dominars is the swingarm. The Dominar 250 comes with a box-section swingarm instead of the aluminium unit on the flagship motorcycle. Want to see how the new Dominar looks in person? Head here.

Fans of the Dominar will also be happy to note that the smaller sibling retains almost all of the features seen on the flagship 400. We will be riding the baby Dominar soon, so stay tuned to BikeDekho for our first ride review.
