After launching new Discover 125 recently, the home grown manufacturer, Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL), seems working on more new models, which will be launched later this year. Two of these models have been spotted testing without any camouflage and resemble Boxer 150 and new Discover 100.
Bajaj Boxer 150, which looks exact similar to its previous model. Yes, the same bike that Bajaj had offered in India for a very short span of time, from September 2011 to October 2012. The bike was introduced as the most affordable in 150cc segment, with a very basic design and features to appeal the rural population. We don't know the exact reason of its failure, however, it might be the poor marketing strategy.
Hope Bajaj will bring the new Boxer 150 in the market with a better marketing strategy this time to get a better response. The model is still available in some other markets and sport the 144.8cc, single cylinder engine, which churns out 11.83bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 12.26Nm. The company might introduce some minor technical updates in the bike, which will further appeal the audience.
As we all know that Bajaj is updating its Discover series with the new third gen platform. Recently, it launched the new Bajaj Discover 125 and the next might be new Discover 100. The new bike will get the same 102cc, 4-valve, DTS-i engine, mated with a 5-speed gear box. This advanced mill develops 9.2bhp of maximum power along with a peak torque of 9.02Nm.
Like other 100cc Discover bikes, this will also claim to return a pleasant mileage of more than 80kmpl and receive some minor changes to make it more affordable than the other third gen Discover bikes.
Bajaj Discover 100 M User Reviews
Buying expereince was good when I bought it in 2012 from Ahmadabad, bought it full on cash payment. Riding comfort is pretty smooth & consistent-no jerks, Looks is dashing with black colour & green shades on it-quite majestic & manly feeling with mystery touch. Needs very less maintenance or servicing, keep checking mileage every 3-6 months that's it.
No words just this that the bike is very lucky and safe in its way. This bike has good mileage, and its features are also good.
It is the best bike & I am riding it for the last 7 To 8 Years. I have a great experience & it delivers good mileage.
I am riding this bike for the last 5 years. It never makes me irritate from its riding experience, service cost, and comfort. Still, I am getting mileage around 70kmpl.
Good bike for city rides and weekend-long rides within 400km rides. The suspension is nice. It is easy to handle, maintenance is low, the best bike for short riders.
