Ampere Vehicle To Launch New E-scooter In India

Launch slated for June 15, 2020, via a virtual press conference

From the looks of it, the new scooter may offer more range. Ampere Vehicles currently has five scooters in its portfolio. It launched the Reo Elite in December 2019.

Ampere Vehicles is all set to launch a new electric scooter for the Indian market on June 15, 2020. The model will be unveiled via a live online press conference through the company’s social media channels. The upcoming scooter will add to the brand’s existing tally of five products for the Indian market. 

If the teaser image is anything to go by, we believe the scooter may offer more range than the other models in Ampere’s portfolio. The new EV may be on the lines of the Ampere Zeal, which offers a claimed top speed of around 55kmph and a range of about 75km per charge. Expect the scooter to draw energy from a removable lithium-ion battery pack. 

In terms of features, we expect the scooter to come with a full-digital instrument console, which is pretty much the norm these days. Besides, the e-scooter may offer a USB charging port, extra storage on the front apron, LED lights or LED DRLs, and a telescopic fork.  

 

The Coimbatore-based brand launched the Reo Elite last December. It comes with a 250W BLDC motor and a 20Ah lead-acid battery that offers a range of up to 60km per charge. You can read more about it here.
