Gets a 2.3kWh LFP battery pack with a decent claimed range of 118km

    Ampere Magnus Neo

Greaves Electric Mobility has launched the new Ampere Magnus Neo at Rs 86,999 (ex-showroom, Dehi), which is Rs 2,099 more than the regular Magnus Neo. The changes are largely aimed at improving everyday usability rather than introducing a major overhaul. The major change compared to the regular Magnus Neo is its reduced seat height and new colour schemes.

    Ergonomic Revisions

Ampere claims that they have tweaked its seat to improve ergonomics and overall layout, with the intention of making it easier to ride for longer durations.

    Ampere Magnus Neo

A 10-inch rear wheel has been introduced, while the seat height now stands at an accessible 777mm (25mm lower than the regular Magnus Neo). Combined with a kerb weight of 103kg (5kg lower), these changes should make the scooter more manageable, especially in slow-moving traffic for shorter riders.

    Underpinnings & Features

Mechanically, the Magnus Neo uses the same dual-frame chassis along with a telescopic fork and a monoshock. The braking setup is basic, with drum brakes at both ends.

The scooter is powered by a 2.3kWh LFP (Lithium Ferrous Phosphate) battery pack, delivering a claimed IDC (Indian Driving Cycle) range of 118km. The scooter has a claimed real-world range of 85-90km in Eco mode and has a claimed top speed of 65kmph. Charging from 0 to 80 percent is said to take around 5 hours using an off-board charger.

    Ampere Magnus Neo

Ampere has revised the wheel and motor configuration, which is expected to result in smoother acceleration and slightly improved stability, although real-world performance remains to be seen.

As for the features, the Magnus Neo comes with a 3.5-inch LCD instrument console, an all-LED lighting setup and a USB charging port. It also has 22 litres of underseat storage space.

    Price And Rivals

Priced for Rs 86,999 (ex-showroom), the updated Magnus Neo is daily affordable for what it offers. But if you are looking for an electric scooter in a similar price range, you do get the option of the Ather Rizta, the Hero Vida VX2, the TVS Orbiter and the Bajaj Chetak C2501

      Good for daily use
Convenient for daily city rides as its easy to handle, budget friendly and low on running cost. It is practical for office and family use. The experience at showroom for test ride helped a lot in the decision. I have ridden it daily. It has been good so far. The charge time is also fast, with good mileage. Its been exciting and my family is also liking the comfort at the back seat. I'm not sure about monsoons. I will recommend this bike to everyone who is looking for affordable and convenient mode of transportation for daily use. Have tried other electric bikes owned by others, this one has been the most comfortable.

My go-to everyday bike for daily rides
I chose this bike after watching a detailed YouTube review and conducting high amounts of digital and reddit research. The removable battery, stylish body graphics and digital meter looked very practical. Seemed reliable for daily commuting. Great. No complaints honestly. Works great for my everyday commute, getting close to 80 kms on a single charge which is pretty good. The low running cost is the biggest plus. Shout out to the USB port in there If you're travelling daily within the city, then 100%. Not the best for high speed highway rides but the perfect vibe for in-city and in-road shenanigans. Despite not being feature-rich, The Magnus Neo packs a punch for real

      Trustworthy choice for city commuting
Discovered the bike from YouTube and the features were very nice. The design, console and riding looked comfortable. Also its practical for city riding. The LCD screen is also a good touch for daily usage. Good. getting around 90 KM mileage actually and its good for daily city travel. All this on one charge which is very good when you consider the expense on petrol. The ride is smooth and features are best such as the USB and ride mode because of the convenience. Absolutely get it if you want a proper Value For Money machine with good mileage and reliable output. For Mumbai like city roads, maintenance is also low and easily manageable. Great for daily users.
