The leading two-wheeler manufacturer in India- Hero MotoCorp is not performing that well in the 150cc segment. Even after updating one of its most popular models- Xtreme, sales of the company in the respective segment is showing a decline. While the other manufacturer like Honda, Bajaj and Suzuki are showing tremendous growth in the segment with their new and exciting offerings.
Now, Hero is going to open another card, hoping to change the game in its favour. The company is working to bring a facelift of the Hunk, which could be launched during this festive season to score better in the market. A fully covered test mule of the bike has been spotted testing recently, having some minor cosmetic updates.
Dimension wise, the 2016 Hero Hunk is looking almost similar to the existing model. However, we can expect an exciting new paint scheme and some minor tweaks on the new model. Mechanically, you can’t see any change in the bike and it will continue to use the similar suspension set-up, wheels, tyres and other equipment, which comes with it currently.
The new Hero Hunk could also share the returned 149.2cc ATFT engine with the new Xtreme Sports. The tweaked air-cooled, single-cylinder, OHC motor makes 15.6bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 13.5Nm. This new update will make it a far better performer than most of its rivals like the Honda CB Unicorn 160.

It has given me decent mileage of 35 to 37kmpl. In fact yesterday I measure the mileage it offered me 36kmpl. By cost wise, I changed the clutch, rear shocker, front shocker, battery 2 times, tyre 1 set. If you give regular service to your bike it will stay healthy for a long period. - Hunk , a bikers pride , and a tough terrain bike ..i purchased hero hunk in 2008 by my fathers money .i drove it in remote areas where there were no proper roads . the bike runs smooth , but now it has lost its pick up speed . it has been serviced every year at authorised showrooms . but since i drove it in the remote areas of Madhya Pradesh , its engine has been very roughed up . its front disk brake too has been broken ...i have given it for repair today again in Porvorim Goa at Wheel Magnet Hero Showroom . I m delighted to use Hunk as it has given me various enjoyable rides . Its tough , rapid , and very trendy . Especially its looks matter me the most . It is a smooth running high speed bike ...and its a matter of pride for me ...i am delighted to use it everyday ...and i enjoy its GRS technology .
